Union Minister JP Nadda rejects Mallikarjun Kharge’s allegation on fertilizer shortage

New Delhi: Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda rejected Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s allegation of fertiliser shortage in the country. In a social media post, Mr Nadda highlighted that the Narendra Modi Government has always stood firmly with the farmers, and the availability of fertilisers has consistently outpaced requirements across the country.

Mr Nadda termed the statement of Mr Kharge as a politically motivated attempt to mislead farmers and manufacture panic where none exists. The Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian farmers have been firmly shielded from global price shocks. Mr Nadda said that the current stock position is significantly stronger than last year. The Congress President alleged that fertiliser shortages were being reported in the country across multiple seasons, even before geopolitical disruptions.
