Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the change in the state’s law-and-order situation had strengthened women’s confidence and expanded their access to employment opportunities. Citing the example of women working night shifts at HCL’s Lucknow campus and commuting from districts such as Barabanki, Unnao and Sitapur, he underlined the importance of a secure environment in enabling women to participate more actively in the workforce.

On employment, the Chief Minister said the state aims to provide one lakh government jobs over the next six months.
