Kolkata : Vikram Solar Limited, one of India’s leading solar module manufacturers, has partnered with Ahiritola Sarbojonin Sarodotsav 2026 organized by Ahiritola Jubak Brinda as its Title Sponsor to present what is being celebrated as one of its kind solarized Durga Puja, under the campaign “Ebar Pujo Robir Aloy” (This Pujo, in the Light of the Sun).
At the heart of the initiative is a solar-powered art installation within the pandal. Vikram Solar panels, will illuminate a dedicated display of Rabindranath Tagore’s handwritten poem, keeping it lit day and night across all days of the festival. The pandal theme draws on Tagore’s original manuscript, while “Robir Aloy”, meaning the light of the sun, weaves a natural connection between Bengal’s most beloved poet, its most cherished festival and the promise of clean energy.
The pandal was inaugurated on the evening of October 15, 2026, in the presence of senior government representative, Mrs. Purnima Chakraborty, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, along with Vikram Solar leadership and prominent personalities.
The partnership extends Vikram Solar’s growing series of community-led clean energy campaigns, following its solar initiative during Ganeshotsav in Pune and the “Sixes for Solar” campaign during the IPL. Each brings the conversation on India’s energy transition into spaces where people gather, celebrate and connect.
Speaking on the initiative, Gyanesh Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director, Vikram Solar, said, “Durga Puja is Bengal’s greatest expression of art, faith and community, and for a company born in Bengal, there could be no more meaningful stage to celebrate the light of the sun. Gurudev Tagore’s words have illuminated generations, and this year they will shine through clean, solar energy. With ‘Ebar Pujo Robir Aloy’, we want every visitor to see that solar power is not a distant idea but something that can light up our homes, our traditions and our future. From Ganeshotsav to the cricket field and now to the pandals of Kolkata, we will keep taking the clean energy conversation to the heart of India’s communities.”
