NEW DELHI: Walmart marked its ongoing commitment to India with an immersive showcase event in New Delhi today. The event, titled “The India Showcase: Celebrating Partnerships, Progress and Possibilities,” brought together Walmart’s global and India business teams, government dignitaries, media and a vibrant network of partners to celebrate the company’s multi-decade journey in the country.
The highlight of the event was a curated exhibit that featured entrepreneurs, MSMEs and partners from programs and initiatives across Walmart, Flipkart Group and PhonePe’s collective footprint in India.
“India is an important part of Walmart’s story,” said Doug McMillon, president and CEO, Walmart Inc. “Over the past two decades, we’ve strengthened and expanded our partnerships here to empower people and help local businesses grow. Our teams are pioneering customer solutions that are transforming retail experiences here and around the world. India also reflects Walmart’s commitment to creating shared value, and we are proud to work with partners to shape a more inclusive and resilient future.”
Kath McLay, president and CEO, Walmart International, also highlighted the transformative impact of local innovations and partnerships.
