Wellbeing Nutrition, India’s leading science-led health and wellness brand, today announced a partnership with South United Football Club, a Bengaluru-based football club and academy, as its Official Venue and Nutrition Partner. As part of the partnership, the club’s Ulsoor facility in Bengaluru has been renamed to SUFC x Wellbeing Nutrition, bringing the brand into the club’s physical football environment and strengthening its association with sport, performance and nutrition.
Founded in Bengaluru in 2012, South United Football Club (SUFC) has grown into a football ecosystem spanning professional football, youth development and grassroots programmes. The club has trained 15,000+ players, with 90 representing their states in the Santosh Trophy and seven earning national team call-ups, while several have progressed to the ISL, I-League and international clubs. At the heart of this ecosystem is the SUFC Ulsoor Center, supporting player development and the wider sports community. Through the partnership, Wellbeing Nutrition will bring its sports nutrition expertise to support SUFC’s teams and athletes across their training and performance journeys.
The partnership strengthens Wellbeing Nutrition’s position in sports nutrition, a category the brand already serves through a dedicated range of performance and recovery focused products built for athletes and active consumers. The association with SUFC allows the brand to expand this presence by engaging more closely with athletes and consumers in a high-performance sporting environment. It also creates a platform for Wellbeing Nutrition to build greater relevance around nutrition, training, recovery and everyday performance, while bringing its nutrition expertise into a football ecosystem focused on athlete development.
Commenting on the partnership, Varun Kandhari, Chief Marketing & Growth Officer, Wellbeing Nutrition, said: “Sport is a natural extension of what we do at Wellbeing Nutrition. We already have a strong presence in sports nutrition, and this partnership with South United allows us to take that presence closer to the athletes and active communities who are at the heart of the category. Nutrition plays an important role in how people train, perform and recover, and SUFC gives us an opportunity to be part of that journey beyond the product. Our focus has always been on making nutrition part of everyday life, and this partnership helps us bring that belief to the football ecosystem in a more meaningful way.”
Mohamed Rafik, CEO, South United Football Club, added: “Our Ulsoor home has always been more than a football ground. It is a space where our community comes together to train, compete and grow. Wellbeing Nutrition shares our commitment to supporting athletes with the right nutrition and care at every stage of their journey, making this partnership a natural fit. Together, we look forward to creating a stronger environment for our players and the wider SUFC community, both on and off the field.”
With SUFC x Wellbeing Nutrition, the partnership brings together two organisations focused on building stronger, healthier and more active communities. For Wellbeing Nutrition, it strengthens the brand’s connection with sports and active lifestyles, while for SUFC, it adds a dedicated nutrition partner to an ecosystem built around player development and football in Bengaluru.
