Kochi: The World Malayali Cricket League (WMCL), a T20 tournament organized for Malayalis worldwide, was officially announced at an event held at Le Méridien Hotel, Kochi, where its official logo was also unveiled.
Miss Universe India 2025 Vamshi Uday attended as the chief guest. The logo was jointly unveiled by Vamshi Uday, Re/Max Zam CEO Faisal Contractor, WMCL Director Arun S. Chandran, Golden Wind Group CEO and World Boxing Council champion K.S. Vinod, and WMCL Director K.G. Biju.
Organized on the lines of the IPL, the WMCL will give Malayalis from around the world the opportunity to own teams. The league aims to bring global Malayali cricket players and entrepreneurs together onto a single platform.
The tournament is being organized with the support of Golden Wind Group, Blue Tiger, and Re/Max Zam. Organizers stated that the league aims to connect the Malayali community globally through sports while creating new opportunities through team ownership.
Alongside the cricket league, an international real estate expo jointly organized by Re/Max Zam and Golden Wind Group was also announced. The expo showcased premium properties, villas, and land from countries including Dubai, Georgia, Australia, Sri Lanka, and India.
Designed as a platform for global investors to explore real estate opportunities and evaluate investment options across different countries, the expo featured various property launches and the Malabar Fashion Week launch.
