XLRI Teams Excel at International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition 2026

Jamshedpur : The JRD Tata Foundation for Business Ethics at XLRI – Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, proudly announces the outstanding performance of its student teams at the International Business Ethics and Sustainability Case Competition (IBESCC) 2026, hosted by Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Los Angeles.

The prestigious competition, held in a hybrid format from April 13 to 17, 2026, brought together 59 teams from 41 universities across 7 countries with over 270 participants and an esteemed panel of judges. The event is widely regarded as one of the leading global platforms for advancing dialogue and solutions in business ethics and sustainability.

Remarkable Achievements by XLRI Teams

XLRI teams secured top honours across multiple categories in the highly competitive Online Division, demonstrating excellence in ethical reasoning, analytical rigor and sustainability focused problem-solving.

Team A: Nexus Corporation emerged as a standout performer, securing:

•            Winner – 25-Minute Presentation

•            Winner – 10-Minute Presentation

•            Runners-Up – 90-Second Presentation

Team B: BE Consulting and Team C: The Climate Compensators also delivered exceptional performances both securing Runners-Up positions in the 25-Minute Presentation category.

These achievements were made possible through the dedicated efforts of the JRD Tata Foundation for Business Ethics at XLRI, which played a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing talent for this global platform. The three teams were selected through a rigorous internal process from a pool of 30 teams, ensuring that the best talent represented XLRI. The Foundation provided continuous mentorship, guidance and support, enabling the teams to prepare effectively and perform at the highest level internationally for this case competition.

The competition tested participants across three formats a 25-minute case analysis, a 10-minute ethical deep-dive and a 90-second sustainability pitch challenging teams to address complex business problems through integrated ethical, legal, financial and sustainability perspectives.

XLRI students demonstrated exceptional capability across all formats, reflecting the Institute’s strong emphasis on values-based education and real-world application.

This accomplishment further reinforces XLRI’s collaboration with the Institute for Business Ethics and Sustainability (IBES), LMU, highlighting a shared commitment to promoting responsible global leadership and sustainable practices worldwide.
