Bengaluru: Yazu Bengaluru has introduced The Yazu Experience, a curated set menu that takes diners through the full arc of the brand’s Pan-Asian kitchen in a single sitting, soup to dessert, sushi to Sichuan, each course matched with a cocktail from the Yazu Origins signature bar programme. Priced at ₹1,800 and available dine-in only, it runs every Monday through Thursday, across both lunch and dinner.
Where most set menus play it safe, The Yazu Experience is built to cover real ground. It opens with a choice between a Tibetan Thenthuk broth and a hot and sour soup, moves into a Wafu Yasai salad or a classic Som Tam, and hits its stride through sushi, from the Yazu Signature Mexican Roll and Spicy Salmon Roll to a Prawn Tempura Roll. Dim sum runs deep, spanning a Truffle Mushroom dumpling, Classic Prawn Hargao and a Peruvian Kiwi and Pine Nut Dumpling that leans into the kitchen’s more experimental instincts.
The menu doesn’t ease off from there. Small plates bring Sichuan-forward heat, Butter Garlic Sichuan Prawns, a Yazu Signature Chicken, Fish in Dark Sichuan Sauce, before large plates land on Mapo Tofu and Chicken Lao Gon Ma. Rice and noodles close the savoury arc with Burnt Garlic Fried Rice and Spicy Korean Ramyun Noodles, and dessert brings the meal down gently with a Salted Caramel Tart or Blue Berry Cheese Cake.
Every course sits alongside the option of Yazu’s signature cocktails, Wasabi Martini, Sakura Chan, Western Asia and Democrat among them, offered as a single pour, a pour of two, or a medley of four, letting diners build their own pairing arc rather than follow a fixed one.
“We didn’t want to build a ‘set menu’ in the safe, one-size-fits-all sense,” said Pratyush Mohapatra, Chief Sales, Marketing and Brand Officer, Yazu Hospitality. “The Yazu Experience is closer to a tasting menu with real range in it, it asks the kitchen and the bar to actually work together, course by course.”
The Yazu Experience is available Monday to Thursday, lunch and dinner, at Yazu Bengaluru, St Marks Road, Bangalore.
