Celebrate 80 Years of Independence at Grand Mercure Bangalore

If there’s one neighbourhood Bengaluru instinctively heads to for a good meal, it’s Koramangala. This Independence Day, Grand Mercure Bangalore joins the celebrations with a special lunch at The Verandah, bringing together flavours from across India in a spread inspired by the country’s diverse regional cuisines.

The meal begins with comforting Mulligatawny Veg Soup and fragrant Murgh Dhaniya Ka Shorba, followed by regional favourites such as Papdi Chaat, Amritsari Fish Tikka, Aloo Palak Ki Tikki and Banjara Murgh Tikka. The mains continue the journey with classics including Dum Chicken Biryani, Rara Gosht, Ande Ka Curry, Subz Handi and Hyderabadi Vegetable Biryani, before ending on a sweet note with a special assortment of desserts made for Independence Day.

For 80 years, India’s story has been shaped by its many cultures, communities, traditions and flavours, each different in its own way, yet belonging to the same beautiful whole. And perhaps there is no better way to celebrate that spirit than around a table, where stories are shared, generations come together and the flavours of one region find their way into the hearts of another.

This Independence Day, gather around the table at The Verandah and celebrate the flavours that have travelled across our country, carried generations of memories and continue to remind us of the many traditions that make India, India.
