CM Chouhan Demands increase in urea allocation from 18 to 22 L MT

New Delhi ; Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called on Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilisers D.V. Sadanand Gowda in the latter’s office in New Delhi on Tuesday and demanded an allocation of 22 lakh metric tons of urea for Rabi crop year 2020-21 for the state.  The Chief Minister  the Union Minister  to increase the allocation of urea in the state from 18 lakh metric ton (1.00 lakh metric ton reserve) to 22 lakh metric tonne in view of the interests of the farmers of the state.

Chouhan said that with adequate rains in the Rabi year 2020-21, the area of ​​wheat is expected to increase by about 10 lakh hectare compared to the previous Rabi. With this in view, 22 lakh metric tonne urea will be required for the Rabi year 2020-21 in the state.

Sadanand Gowda listened to Chouhan and assured all possible assistance in this connection from the Centre.
