Bengaluru: CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) made a strong mark at the 26th Annual Convocation (Part-1) of the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), held today, with a total of 11 students securing Top 10 ranks across various engineering disciplines, including 10 gold medals.
Chinmayi M Kashyap, a student of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), emerged as the top performer, winning seven gold medals making her the first student from a Bengaluru college to achieve this feat, and third in Karnataka overall. Prashamsa Prashanth of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (AI&DS) secured two gold medals, while Akshita N Nair of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) secured one.
The students received their Gold Medals from the Honourable Governor of Karnataka, in the presence of Honourable Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddi and Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara.
Dr. Sanjay Jain, Principal, CMR Institute of Technology, congratulated the students on their remarkable performance. He appreciated their dedication and perseverance, and acknowledged the contribution of faculty members in guiding and mentoring them.
