
The court fixed the 17th of this month for commencing the trial by recording evidence in the case. The court had last month ordered framing of charges against the former AIADMK leader.
Dhinakaran, who floated the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam party after being expelled from the AIADMK, was arrested in April last year in Delhi and later granted bail. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had filed a chargesheet against the alleged middleman Sukesh Chandrasekar, Dhinakaran and others in the case.
