Entrepreneurship Programme on Solar Water Pumps started at CRISP

Mumbai: Training on VarunMitra project has been started at CRISP to promote entrepreneurship which comprehensively explains the fundamentals of Solar Water Pumping. This is a 3 weeks residential training programme, sponsored by National Institute of Solar Energy, Autonomous Institute under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Govt. of India.

Training was inaugurated by Dr. Arun Tripathi, Director General of National Solar Energy Institute (NISE). Through this training programme, not only the trainees from different provinces of Madhya Pradesh but also from other states are benefiting.

Dr. Tripathi said that the main objective of the VarunMitra Programme is to develop new entrepreneurs in the field of solar powered pumps and hence increase employment opportunities.   

Chief Executive Officer of CRISP , Mr. Mukesh Sharma informed that through this training, the youth will be given knowledge about the establishment and operation & maintenance of solar water pumping projects, so that they can start their own business in this field.

Shri Sharma also said that not only trained youth but also society and environment will be benefited through this program. Solar water pumps will be especially helpful in rural remote areas where there is no electricity available for agriculture purposes.

On the occasion, CRISP’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Rajesh Maheshwari said that the information on various schemes being run by Government of India and the State Government to establish own business will be provided to them during training. CRISP will also provide guidance to the participants to start their own business.

On the occasion, Sr. Managers of CRISP, Mrs. Asha Nair, Mr. Sudheer Jain, Mr. Ravi Shankar Sharma was also present.
