Mumbai— EPIC Studios has announced a strategic partnership with Rusk Media Private Limited (RMPL) to create fifty (50) original vertical drama series, marking a significant step toward building the country’s largest IP destination in one of the fastest-growing entertainment verticals.
As audiences increasingly embrace short-form, mobile-first storytelling, this collaboration represents a major, scale-driven move to cater to the exploding demand for vertical dramas. The partnership serves as a one-stop powerhouse, bringing together end-to-end creative and distribution strength to deliver a massive slate of engaging, high-quality original stories across genres including mythology, drama, mystery, thriller, and romance. The series will premiere on Rusk Media’s Alright! TV, one of India’s emerging OTT platforms for original vertical drama content.
The collaboration combines EPIC Studios’ rich experience in developing compelling, premium stories across television, streaming, and films with Rusk Media’s expertise in digital-first entertainment. Together, the two entities are expanding the micro-drama ecosystem by committing to massive production scale and building high-value, owned IP for the Indian market.
Aditya Pittie, Managing Director of The EPIC Company, said, “Vertical dramas are experiencing massive global and domestic growth, reshaping how content is consumed. For us, this partnership is about driving true scale and building the biggest library of owned vertical-drama IPs in the country. A slate of 50 original series is just the beginning—by the middle of next year, we aim to have over 250+ titles, and becoming one of the largest independent IP owners in this space. Partnering with Rusk Media and Alright! TV creates a seamless, one-stop ecosystem that blends powerful storytelling with unprecedented volume.”
Karanvir Sofat, Co-founder & CRO, Rusk Media, said, “This partnership is a reflection of Alright! TV’s mission to create high quality content for new age Indian viewers. EPIC has been a long-standing partner and this slate collaboration reinforces the commitment to deliver premium, engaging entertainment for digital audiences, that combine compelling storytelling with the pace and accessibility today’s viewers expect.”
