Manipal Hospital Vijayawada  Conducts Mega Awareness Campaigns on World Cancer Day

Vijayawada:  Manipal Hospital Vijayawada, a leader in comprehensive cancer care, successfully hosted a Cancer Awareness Event on World Cancer Day 2025. The event, which brought together leading oncology experts, cancer survivors, and hospital staff, underscored the hospital’s unwavering commitment in raising awareness about the deadly disease, promoting early detection, and advancing multidisciplinary treatment.

Under the theme “United by Unique,” the event resonated deeply with attendees, emphasizing the importance of community strength in the fight against cancer. The esteemed team leading the cancer awareness initiative included Dr. Sudhakar Kantipudi, Dr. Krishna Reddy, Dr. Sravan Kumar, Dr. Dharmendra, Dr. Dinesh Reddy, Dr. Rama Krishna, and Dr. Sri Divya, who are committed in raising the awareness and advancing oncology care. Participants listened to impactful survivor stories, learned about the latest advancements in cancer treatment, and engaged with experts on the significance of early diagnosis.

A major highlight of this initiative was the hospital’s large-scale cancer screening drive, which has crossed over 50,000 individuals. As part of its social responsibility, Manipal Hospital Vijayawada has been operating a Cancer Screening Bus for the past 12 years, covering rural areas across Andhra Pradesh to ensure early detection and timely treatment. This initiative aims to make cancer care more accessible by providing screenings and consultations to those who need them most.

Mr. S V Raja Sekhara Babu (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Vijayawada praised the initiative, stating, “I deeply appreciate Manipal Hospital Vijayawada for organizing this impactful event. Cancer affects countless lives, but with proactive awareness and early detection, we can change the narrative. By empowering communities with knowledge and access to life-saving screenings, we reinforce the importance of timely intervention and quality treatment.”
