NEW DELHI – D2L, a global leader in learning technology, announced that MIT World Peace University (MIT-WPU), a premier higher education institution in India, has selected D2L Brightspace as its learning platform. Under a three-year agreement, MIT-WPU will transition from Moodle to D2L Brightspace to support more than 25,000 learners.
The transition advances MIT-WPU’s efforts to strengthen campus learning and support evolving teaching approaches. With D2L Brightspace and H5P, the university will help faculty create more interactive and scalable learning experiences, helping provide learners with a more personalized digital learning environment.
“Moving from Moodle to D2L Brightspace is an important step in MIT-WPU’s digital
transformation,” said Prof. (Dr.) Raviraja N. Seetharam, Vice Chancellor of MIT-WPU. “As we continue to evolve our approach to teaching and learning, this transition will help our faculty make learning more engaging, while supporting students throughout their academic journey and preparing them for what’s ahead.”
“MIT-WPU is investing in the future of learning,” said Lee Poteck, Chief Revenue Officer, D2L. “We are pleased to support the university as it gives faculty exciting new ways to deliver modern, immersive experiences and help learners engage more deeply with their studies. We look forward to supporting MIT-WPU as they transform teaching and learning across their community.”
