Greater Noida : The Department of Paediatrics at Noida International Institute of Medical Sciences (NIIMS) Hospital successfully conducted an Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Workshop under the aegis of the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), strengthening the practical preparedness of healthcare professionals to manage neonatal emergencies at birth. The one-day workshop brought together 24 resident doctors, nursing officers and interns for intensive training in evidence-based neonatal resuscitation practices.
The workshop focused on developing participants’ clinical decision-making and hands-on competencies through interactive lectures, skill stations, simulation-based scenarios and practical demonstrations. Participants underwent structured assessments to evaluate their knowledge and proficiency in essential neonatal resuscitation techniques.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Avinash Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, Department of Paediatrics, NIIMS, said, “Effective neonatal resuscitation is among the most impactful interventions for reducing preventable neonatal deaths.
