The polling will continue till 5 p.m. The pool was necessitated after the death of INLD MLA Hari Chand Middha. His son Krishan Siddha is contesting on BJP ticket.
In Rajasthan, polling is underway in Ramgarh assembly constituency of Alwar district and 51 percent of voters turn out has been recorded till 1 p.m. The polling started at 8 a.m. Returning officer Pankaj Sharma said that polling is going on peacefully.
The election to the seat was withheld during the assembly elections in the state on December 7 following the death of BSP candidate Laxman Singh. BSP has fielded former Union Minister Natwar Singh’s son Jagat Singh. Shafia Zubair is contesting as a congress candidate and Sukhwant singh is the BJP candidate.
