Vietnam President To Lam is visiting Mumbai today as part of his 3 day India tour. After the bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi yesterday, which included the signing of 13 agreements between the two countries, there are multiple events planned in Mumbai.
Vietnamese President To Lam’s one-day visit to Mumbai will start off with a visit to the National Stock Exchange, including the prestigious ring-the-bell ceremony by the President.
Next, he will call on the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. Later, President Lam, along with the Chief Minister, will attend the India-Vietnam Business Forum, where the President will deliver the Keynote address. This forum is arranged by CII – Confederation of Indian Industry in partnership with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
This Forum is being held with the intention of exploring opportunities of enhanced trade and investment across multiple sectors by bringing together various stakeholders from both countries.
The last leg of the visit includes a call on the Governor of Maharashtra at Lok Bhavan where he will be hosted at a dinner banquet. President To Lam’s visit to the financial capital of India is important in the context of the growing strategic and economic partnership between India and Vietnam.
