New Delhi: On the occasion of Children’s Day, Red Hat Communications shines a spotlight on Jack & Jill, an initiative dedicated to rekindling the joy of curiosity, imagination, and shared learning among children. In a world increasingly dominated by screens, this initiative seeks to bring back the essence of childhood, where exploration, creativity, and connection form the foundation of growth.

At its heart, Jack & Jill celebrates family bonding and mutual learning, reminding us that education extends beyond textbooks and digital devices. It encourages children and parents to learn together through experiences that reflect real-world values — compassion, cooperation, and curiosity.

The initiative under “The Wonder Years Expo” features a series of Experience Corners built around themes like Educational Tourism, Science Fun, Fitness & Wellness, and Creative Arts, all designed to inspire play-based learning and foster social interaction. These experiences aim to nurture inquisitiveness, imagination, and holistic development, essential traits often overshadowed in today’s fast-paced, technology-driven lives.

In today’s childhood landscape, alarming trends underscore why such initiatives matter: Indian children under age five now spend an average of  2.2 hours daily  on screens — double recommended limits.  Further, fewer children are engaging in outdoor play and free-form creativity when compared with past generations, limiting opportunities to build social skills, logical thinking and resilience.

Carrying a deeper purpose, Jack & Jill also echoes a vital social message — “Save the Girl Child.” Through this, Red Hat Communications advocates for equality, empowerment, and inclusivity, encouraging young minds to grow in an environment rooted in respect and empathy.

Speaking about the initiative, Mrs. Jyoti Mayal, Chief Executive of Red Hat Communications and Chairperson of the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council, said, “Jack & Jill has always symbolised the magic of discovery. On this Children’s Day, we want families to rediscover the simple joys of learning together, through laughter, stories, and shared experiences. Our mission is to Explore, Educate, Entertain, and Enjoy, nurturing a generation that values awareness, empathy, and togetherness.”

With its renewed vision, Jack & Jill – The Wonder Years Expo stands as a tribute to the spirit of childhood — inspiring families to pause, play, and participate in building a kinder, more curious, and connected tomorrow.
