New Delhi – On the occasion of the martyrdom day of the fifth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, Sikka Charitable Trust organised Chabeel Seva (serving cold, sweetened water) and Guru Ka Langar (community kitchen) with a spirit of devotion and service at its Preet Vihar office. A large number of devotees (Sangat), residents, business associates, and employees participated in the event to pay tribute to Guru Sahib.
The event was held at the Sikka office located at C-60, Vikas Marg, Preet Vihar, where special arrangements were made to serve cold, sweetened water (Chabeel) and Guru Ka Langar to the Sangat. Throughout the event, the atmosphere resonated with the message of service, dedication, and humanity. The occasion was also graced by Bharatiya Janata Party leader and North East Delhi Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwari, BJP leader and MLA from the Gandhi Nagar constituency, Arvinder Singh Lovely, who joined the Sangat in the service activities and paid his respects to Guru Sahib. The Sangat reflected on the life of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, honouring his spirit of sacrifice, patience, and the supreme sacrifice he made for the sake of humanity. In addition, attendees pledged to embrace Guru Sahib’s teachings and create a spirit of love, brotherhood, and service within society.
Speaking on the occasion, the management of Sikka Charitable Trust stated that the life of Guru Arjan Dev Ji stands as a magnificent example of sacrifice, endurance, service, and dedication to humanity. They further noted that his martyrdom day continues to inspire people to work selflessly for the welfare of others.
According to the Trust, Chabeel Seva and Guru Ka Langar are not merely religious traditions but also serve as a medium to unite society and convey the message of humanitarian service. Furthermore, Sikka Charitable Trust remains committed to promoting social values and the spirit of service, and it will continue to fulfil its social responsibilities through such public-spirited initiatives.
Expressing gratitude to the Sangat and all associates who participated, the management emphasised that strengthening the spirit of love, unity, and service in society is a collective responsibility. At the conclusion of the event, the Sangat partook in Guru Ka Langar. Attendees also praised the initiative, describing it as an effort that strengthens social unity, brotherhood, and the spirit of service.
