Smiling Tree, an environmental initiative founded by Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KR Mangalam University, Gurugram, to drive sustainable agricultural practices and rural development. As part of the collaboration, five villages in Haryana have been adopted to promote awareness and education on organic farming, crop rotation, and sustainable agriculture techniques.
Under this initiative, faculty members and students of KR Mangalam University work hand-in-hand with farmers to provide training and practical knowledge, helping them embrace eco-friendly farming methods. The project aims to not only enhance agricultural productivity but also to preserve soil health, reduce chemical dependency, and contribute to a greener ecosystem.
Carrying forward with the collaboration, a plantation drive was organized where a variety of saplings including Moringa, Amla, Jamun, Guava, and Harshingar were planted across the adopted villages. This effort reflects the commitment of both Smiling Tree and KR Mangalam University towards biodiversity conservation and sustainable living.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, Founder of Smiling Tree, said,
