The 1M1B (One Million for One Billion) foundation announced India’s Top 500 Changemakers from the national-level competition, followed by a shortlist of the Top 100, from which the Top 50 will be chosen at the Geneva Summit.
The announcement was made recently in New Delhi. The initiative recognises India’s most inspiring young changemakers working across fields such as climate action, education, mental health, social equity, and technology for good.
The competition featured a gamified, mission-based format, where participants completed seven missions to earn points and move up the leaderboard. Notable missions included Letters for Change, which inspired students to challenge unsustainable practices through open letters, and Circularity in Action, which encouraged participants to collect and donate e-waste and used clothing to promote recycling and mindful consumption.
The Change-Makers World Cup (CWC), organised by 1M1B in partnership with Flaunch, is a global talent discovery platform that identifies and nurtures young changemakers aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
1M1B is a UN-accredited non-profit organisation dedicated to activating one million youth leaders to positively impact one billion lives.
The Geneva Summit aims to prepare youth to become future-ready leaders equipped to address global challenges, with a special focus this year on green skills and climate action.
St. Peter’s High School has been a partner institution on the IBM SkillsBuild Platform, a global initiative by IBM supporting the Skill India Mission. The platform offers free online courses, credentials, and hands-on projects that help students develop in-demand digital and technical skills for the future.
