This National Tequila Day, Sweeney is shifting the spotlight from the spirit to the storytellers behind every pour. Celebrating the artistry, creativity and individuality of its bar team, the restaurant unveils a limited-edition collection of five signature tequila cocktails, each conceived and crafted by five bartenders, bringing their own perspective, personality and palate to every glass.
Rather than following a singular house style, each bartender was given complete creative freedom to interpret tequila in their own way. The result is a collection that is as diverse as the personalities behind the bar, where every cocktail tells a unique story through bold flavours, thoughtful technique and contemporary mixology. From delicate floral notes and savoury umami depth to smoky spice and tropical freshness, the menu offers guests a rare opportunity to experience five distinct expressions of tequila under one roof.
The collection begins with Pink Blossom, a bright floral composition layered with strawberry, rhubarb, vanilla and a delicate saline finish, before moving into the savoury complexity of Bucket of Blood, where clarified tomato, miso and gochujang create an unexpectedly bold tequila serve. Tequila Sour offers a silky reinterpretation of the timeless classic with tequila and mezcal, while Picante Highball balances smoky tequila, green spice and sparkling citrus for a crisp, refreshing finish. Completing the line-up is Rain Fizz, a vibrant tropical blend of pineapple, watermelon and citrus that captures the lighter, fruit-forward side of the spirit.
Available for one week, the collection is more than a Tequila Day celebration, it’s a tribute to the people who define Sweeney’s drinking experience. By placing its bartenders at the heart of the story, Sweeney invites guests to discover not just five inventive cocktails, but five distinct creative voices, each expressed through a glass of tequila.
