Three killed in Chhattisgarh Maoist attack

In Chhattisgarh, three persons were killed in a Maoist attack today morning. The attack took place in Kanker district in Bastar division. Maoists blew up a Diesel Tanker near Tumapal village in Tadoki area using an Improvised Explosive Device.

After the blast Maoists opened indiscriminate fire on the tanker. In the blast, followed up by firing, three workers died. The tanker and the workers of a private company were engaged in the construction of Railway track under Rawghat Railway line project.

Security forces rushed to the spot and there was an exchange of fire between security personnel and Maoists. After a brief gun battle, Maoists fled to the nearby jungle.
