National – Tissot and NBA star Damian Lillard have come together to introduce the PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition, a timepiece that brings together the collection’s distinctive design, Swiss mechanical watchmaking and the athlete’s personal style.
Known to basketball fans as ‘Dame Time’, Lillard has played an active role in the creation of the watch, with details inspired by his journey on and off the court. The result is a distinctive take on the PRX Skeleton, with a deep burgundy colourway that sets it apart.
The 44 mm stainless-steel case stays true to the PRX’s unmistakable integrated design, while the skeleton dial brings the manual-winding mechanical movement into full view. Deep engravings along the case sides, a transparent case back carrying Lillard’s signature, and a second hand inspired by his monogram add personal touches throughout.
Burgundy takes centre stage across the dial and both strap options, giving the watch a bold, cohesive character. The rubber strap features a distinctive milk-crate pattern, inspired by the makeshift basketball hoops of Lillard’s childhood and the early days of his love for the game. For a more refined take, a burgundy leather strap offers an understated alternative. And for those who want to wear it a little differently, a dedicated conversion set transforms the watch into a pocket watch, adding another unexpected dimension to the design.
A Tissot Ambassador since 2021, Damian Lillard worked closely with the brand throughout the design process, bringing elements of his own story into the final creation.
Speaking about the collaboration, Damian Lillard said, “One thing that really resonated with me while working with Tissot was seeing how every part has a purpose. A watch comes together through countless components, details and people, all contributing to the final piece. When I think about my own path, I see a lot of similarities.”
The PRX Skeleton Damian Lillard Special Edition launches on October 21, coinciding with the Portland Trail Blazers’ season opener against the Phoenix Suns. The launch follows Tissot’s participation in the team’s annual Fan Fest on October 4, which celebrated Lillard’s return to Portland after time away from the court due to injury.
With its open-worked dial, rich burgundy finish and versatile strap options, the new edition offers a fresh take on the PRX Skeleton, bringing together sport and contemporary watch design.
