Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and PM Modi pay tribute to Pahalgam victims

Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have offered tribute to the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack on its first anniversary.  In a social media post, C.P. Radhakrishnan said that the innocent lives lost in that gruesome and dastardly act of terror remain etched in the country’s collective memory. He said that the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack will forever be remembered. The Vice-President said that India stands in solidarity with their families, whose grief is immeasurable. He further said that such acts of brutality can never shake the country’s resolve to uphold peace, unity, and the enduring values of humanity. He added that India remains firm in its determination to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.

The Prime Minister has said that the country will never bow to any form of terror and the heinous designs of terrorists will never succeed. Remembering the innocent lives lost in the terror attack on this day last year, PM Modi said that the victims of the gruesome Pahalgam terror attack will never be forgotten. In a social media post, he said that India stands united in grief and resolve. He added, his thoughts are also with the bereaved families as they cope with this loss.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah today paid tributes to the victims of the cowardly terror attack at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir. In a social media post, the Defence Minister said that while India has endured decades of cross-border terror, its response today is firm, decisive and unwavering. Mr Singh added that the nation shares the enduring pain of their loved ones and families. He further said that the country will never forget those wounds inflicted upon it. Mr Singh emphasized that India has demonstrated through determined action that any attempt to harm its people or disrupt its unity will be met with strength and clarity.

Home Minister Amit Shah said that the grief and pain of losing the people still remain in the hearts of every Indian. Mr Shah added that terrorism is the greatest enemy of humanity and urged the citizens to stand against it. The Home Minister further said that the country will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and those who harbour it.

External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar has emphasized that India stands steadfast in its resolve to counter terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. In a social media post, Dr Jaishankar urged everyone to join the nation in remembering the victims of the dastardly Pahalgam terror attack, which took place this day last year.
