Woxsen University Hosts One of India’s Largest Architecture Gatherings, Bringing Together Over 5,000 Participants at the 68th Annual NASA Convention

Hyderabad : Woxsen University successfully hosted the 68th Annual NASA Convention (ANC) 2026 from June 11 to 14 at its Hyderabad campus, bringing together over 4,500 architecture students and more than 500 architects, designers, academicians, industry leaders, and policymakers from across the country.

Organised by the School of Architecture & Planning, Woxsen University, in collaboration with the National Association of Students of Architecture (NASA India), the four-day convention featured keynote addresses by internationally acclaimed architect Ar. Kevin Mark Low (Malaysia), architect and academician Ar. Nuru Karim, and renowned innovator Sonam Wangchuk. The convention also witnessed a special live performance by acclaimed singer and music composer Amaal Mallik, which emerged as one of the major highlights of the event.

Recognised as one of India’s largest student-led architecture gatherings, the convention served as a platform for architectural discourse, design innovation, academic exchange, and industry engagement. Participants attended 10 masterclasses, 20 seminars, and 60 workshops, alongside panel discussions, exhibitions, forums, and collaborative learning sessions focused on architecture, sustainability, urban development, emerging technologies, heritage conservation, and the future of the built environment.

A key academic highlight of the convention was the second edition of the NASA India Research Conference, which brought together students, researchers, and practitioners to exchange ideas and discuss emerging trends shaping architectural education and practice. The event also facilitated meaningful interactions between aspiring architects and leading professionals, creating opportunities for learning, mentorship, and collaboration.

The convention hosted the final juries of several prestigious national-level competitions and trophies, including the highly anticipated Reubens Trophy, Student of the Year Trophy, GRIHA Trophy, and the Annual NASA Design Competition. These competitions showcased innovative design solutions, technical excellence, and creative thinking by architecture students from institutions across India.
