Mangaldai : Amidst good response from the local educated youths a district level day long workshop on empowering youths through acquiring skills and knowledge awareness for future livelihood was held in Mangaldai College on Friday. The workshop titled ‘Sankalp’ organized by the Assam State Skill Development Mission under the Sate government Skill ,Employment and Entrepreneurship department was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Darrang Dilip Kumar Borah by lightning the ceremonial lamp at the science gallery of the college. Addressing the participating youths Deputy Commissioner Borah explained why skill and determination is important to become successful in a business. Citing several relevant examples he highlighted how with these two qualities entrepreneurs could create potential in smaller business fields and became huge successful. ” With skill and determination even very limted investment can bring remarkable success for an entrepreneur.’ Deputy Commissioner Borah said. He also discussed on the potentially of opening up diversified livelihood opportunities once the proposed Skill University in Mangaldai starts functioning. The inaugural function was also attended by District Development Commissioner, Subhalaksmi Deka, Additional Deputy Commissioner Vijay Bhaskar Reddy, Principal Mangaldai College Dr Khagendra Kumar Nath, Nodal officer ‘Sankalp’ ,Assam State Skill Development Mission, N Dhiraj Singha among others .
