Thiruvananthapuram : Marking another significant milestone in advanced health care, and diagnostic excellence, KIMSHEALTH inaugurated two state-of-the-art imaging technologies , the 3 Tesla MRI Scan and the SPECT-CT system. The facilities were inaugurated by Health & Devaswom Minister K. Muraleedharan.
In his Presidential address, Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director, KIMSHEALTH, said that the introduction of these advanced diagnostic platforms reflects the institution’s continued commitment in providing world-class healthcare to the society . He also noted that precision diagnostics play a crucial role in ensuring timely treatment and better patient outcome.
In his inaugural address, Health & Devaswom Minister, K Muraleedharan commended the management of KIMSHEALTH for its commitment to achieving international standards in healthcare. He noted that the government’s goal is to ensure the best possible treatment for patients and emphasized that meaningful collaboration between the public and private healthcare sectors is essential to achieve this objective.
The 3 Tesla MRI system offers superior imaging precision, faster scan times, and enhanced diagnostic efficiency. Equipped with a wide-bore design, the scanner ensures greater comfort for patients, particularly those experiencing anxiety or claustrophobia during MRI procedures. Its advanced imaging capabilities enables doctors to detect and evaluate complex medical conditions with greater accuracy. The SPECT-CT system, designed to deliver faster and low-dose scans, the system significantly reduces patients’ radiation exposure while maintaining exceptional image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
E M Najeeb, Co-founder, KIMSHEALTH, welcomed the gathering. Reshmi Aysha, CEO, KIMSHEALTH Cancer Centre and KIMSHEALTH CSR, proposed the vote of thanks. Dr. Zunimol P K M, Senior Consultant, Radio Diagnosis and Interventional Radiology, introduced the 3 Tesla MRI system while Dr. Arun Raj S T,Consultant, Nuclear Medicine, presented the SPECT-CT system.
