Puri, Odisha : In one of the largest humanitarian and spiritual service initiatives during the Shri Jagannath Puri Ratha Yatra 2026, Akshar Yoga Kendraa, under the guidance of Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, undertakes a large-scale Mahaprabhu Prasad Seva dedicated to serving devotees attending one of the world’s oldest and most revered spiritual festivals.
Building upon last year’s successful initiative, during which the organisation served over 1,00,000 devotees, Akshar Yoga Kendraa aims to serve more than 2,00,000 pilgrims this year by distributing wholesome Mahaprabhu Prasad (meals), drinking water, sweet refreshments, and hydration services, reinforcing the timeless Indian tradition of Seva as an integral part of spiritual life.
The Mahaprabhu Prasad Seva Camp has been inaugurated by Dr. Satyajit Nayak, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Central Range, Odisha, in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, spiritual leaders, and invited guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar said, “The Shri Jagannath Ratha Yatra is a celebration of devotion, inclusivity, and universal consciousness. Serving devotees during this sacred occasion is both a privilege and a profound spiritual practice. Through Mahaprabhu Prasad Seva, we hope to inspire people across the world to embrace compassion, selfless service, and the eternal values of Sanatana Dharma. When people from different cultures come together to serve humanity, spirituality becomes a universal language that unites the world.”
Adding a unique international dimension to this year’s initiative, hundreds of volunteers from across India are joined by practitioners and delegates from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, the United States, and several other countries. For many of these international participants, this is their first-ever experience of the sacred Shri Jagannath Ratha Yatra, offering a rare opportunity to witness one of India’s most celebrated spiritual and cultural traditions.
Alongside the Seva, participants take part in Ratha Darshan, Kirtans, Bhajans, Yoga, meditation, spiritual interactions, and cultural exchange programmes, fostering a deeper appreciation of India’s rich spiritual heritage and the universal message of Sanatana Dharma.
The organisation is coordinating with the Puri District Administration and local authorities for the smooth conduct of the seva and related arrangements for devotees and volunteers.
The initiative reflects Akshar Yoga Kendraa’s continued commitment to preserving India’s spiritual heritage while promoting humanitarian values beyond geographical and cultural boundaries. By bringing together volunteers from around the world, the organisation demonstrates how selfless service can become a bridge for global harmony, cultural understanding, and collective well-being.
As millions of devotees converge in Puri for the annual chariot festival of Lord Jagannath, the Mahaprabhu Prasad Seva stands as a tribute to the enduring spirit of devotion, compassion, generosity, and community service that has defined the Ratha Yatra for centuries.
Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar added, “True spirituality is experienced when devotion transforms into selfless service. Every plate of Mahaprabhu Prasad served is an offering to Mahaprabhu Jagannath and an expression of gratitude towards humanity.”
