AWE Funds is proud to be selected as an Emerging Impact Manager for the ImpactAssets 50® (IA 50) 2026, the definitive guide to impact investing fund managers globally. The recognition comes in a milestone year: 2026 marks the 15th anniversary of the IA 50, which has grown since its launch in 2011 into the most recognized and respected list of fund managers in the impact investing sector.
AWE Funds is a gender-smart venture capital firm investing in early-growth, deep-tech, technology-led innovation based companies advancing climate action, health, fintech, and the future of work. The firm invests primarily in India, with reach into the United States and Europe, and applies a “profit with purpose” thesis: backing scalable innovation while intentionally advancing gender equity and inclusive growth in leadership, workforces, and the markets its portfolio serves.
Inclusion in the IA 50 follows a rigorous, multi-stage selection process combining qualitative and quantitative analysis led by ImpactAssets Capital Partners, with final selections made by an independent IA 50 Review Committee of 13 globally recognized industry leaders. All selected firms demonstrated a track record in impact investing, clear impact objectives, and U.S. investor accessibility.
“Being named to the IA 50 Emerging Impact Managers list is a meaningful validation of what AWE Funds was built to prove – that gender-smart investing in deep, science-led innovation delivers both competitive returns and measurable impact,” said Seema Chaturvedi, Founder and Managing Partner of AWE Funds. “We are honored to stand alongside this global cohort of managers, and grateful to ImpactAssets and the Review Committee for a selection process defined by rigor and objectivity. This recognition strengthens our resolve to scale capital toward climate, health, and inclusion – where the world needs it most.”
The 2026 IA 50 comprises three categories – the core list of fund managers, the Emerging Impact Managers list, and the Emeritus Managers list – spanning 193 firms in total. The scale of the field underscores the significance of the recognition: when the IA 50 launched in 2011, its 50 fund managers collectively represented $8.9 billion in assets under management. In 2026, managers across the three lists represent a combined $202 billion in assets and deployed nearly $17 billion toward impact in a single year.
“Over the past 15 years, impact investing has evolved into a sophisticated global marketplace,” said Jed Emerson, Founder of Blended Value Group and Chair of the IA 50 Review Committee. “The depth, scale and diversity represented in today’s IA 50 demonstrates that impact investing is now a core investment strategy – one that brings together a wide range of asset classes, geographies and investment themes to drive measurable change.”
“The IA 50 reflects both how far the industry has come and where it is heading,” said Margret Trilli, CEO and CIO of ImpactAssets and ImpactAssets Capital Partners. “Through our extensive work within the impact investing sector including deep engagement in private markets – we have seen continued growth in assets, stronger impact measurement practices, and more expansive impact focus areas from both established and emerging managers. The field has matured significantly, and the IA 50 continues to provide investors with a trusted resource in this evolving marketplace.”
