Bengaluru: The Negroni turns 100+ and shows no sign of slowing down. From September 21 to 27, 2026, Bengaluru’s most-loved bars are joining the global celebration of Negroni Week, spotlighting the inventive Negroni riffs already on their menus, proof that a century-old drink can still surprise.
Equal parts bitter, boozy and beautiful, the Negroni has become bartenders’ favourite canvas for experimentation. This September, Bengaluru’s drinking scene answers the call with a spread of standout creations that channel everything from Japanese citrus and Filipino mango to coconut, pandan, tropical fruit, tea and even Old Monk.
Where to Find Them
Yuzu Negroni – Foo, Indiranagar & Orion Foo’s contemporary Asian kitchen brings its playful sensibility to the bar with the Yuzu Negroni, gin, Campari and sweet vermouth brightened with fragrant yuzu, fresh lime and a whisper of cherry syrup for balance. Citrusy, refreshing and unmistakably Foo.
Golden Hour- Yazu, Bengaluru Yazu’s Golden Hour takes inspiration from the Philippines’ beloved Carabao mango, clarified into a silky, fruit-forward Negroni that lets tropical sweetness meet classic bitterness head-on.
Paradise With Issues- KICO, Bengaluru At KICO, the Paradise With Issues (₹895) wraps silky coconut-infused gin in herbal bitterness and deep, aromatic pandan notes, a tropical, slightly rebellious take on the Italian original.
Palermo Paradiso – Olive Beach, Bengaluru Olive Beach’s Palermo Paradiso swaps gin for Old Monk, paired with Campari and Otto’s Vermouth infused with pandan and edible coconut oil, a coastal, tropical-leaning reinvention of the classic that’s silky, aromatic and distinctly its own.
Negroni Tropicale & Kaffir Passion Negroni- Monkey Bar, Museum Road At Monkey Bar, guests can choose between two distinctive takes on the classic. The Negroni Tropicale combines pineapple-infused gin with sweet vermouth and Campari, finished with a light, airy pineapple foam for a bright, juicy and subtly tropical profile. The Kaffir Passion Negroni takes a more aromatic route, with gin infused with passion fruit and kaffir lime leaves, balanced by the bitterness of Campari and the rich sweetness of sweet vermouth.
Milano Torino Negroni & Offset Negroni (Rs 1699) – The Library Bar, The Leela Palace Bengaluru At The Library Bar, guests can choose between two distinctive interpretations of the classic. The Milano Torino Negroni combines Bulldog Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth with strawberry and makrut lime leaf, bringing a bright, fragrant and refreshing twist to the bittersweet classic. The Offset Negroni takes a more experimental route, pairing Bulldog Gin and Campari with hand-rolled tea and spiced vermouth, finished with a delicate salted milk foam for a layered, complex and subtly savoury profile.
Why It Matters
Negroni Week began in 2013 as a global initiative uniting bars, brands and drinkers to raise money for charitable causes while celebrating one of the world’s most enduring cocktails. Each year, thousands of venues worldwide and now some of Bengaluru’s hottest addresses, pour their own interpretations, turning one week in September into a citywide love letter to the Negroni.
