Celebrating 3 Years: NAAVA Unveils One Dress, Endless Styles

Mumbai : NAAVA, a contemporary fabric-focused sustainable fashion label is celebrating its third anniversary with a new collection. Unlike just another fashion drop, the new pieces are unique due to their convertible styles, a concept that hasn’t been seen much before in India. The dresses are designed to transition one outfit into multiple ones, with change in style, texture and detailed layering.  Vibrant and glamorous, these are detachable dresses. Titled ‘Make a Wish,’ it honours the birthday ritual and unfolds as a celebration with your dress designed to transition equally well from one setting to the next.

NAAVA, founded by Aishwarya Goswami, is a label creating clothes that are chic and environmentally responsible while supporting the artisanal craft and weavers of Assam. Made with pure handwoven cotton and silks, each piece makes sustainable fashion more accessible to modern aesthetics and styles. The anniversary special drop ‘Make a Wish’ unveils five distinctive silhouettes: three convertible dresses that shift and restyle across multiple iterations, and two statement dresses built to command a room entirely on their own. Each piece carries its own personality while being anchored in NAAVA’s contemporary design vocabulary.

If your moodboard is vibrant, glamorous and unapologetically fun, you’re going to love it. Think delicate lace, rich colours and voluminous ruffles, that bring texture, movement and drama. It is occasion dressing reimagined for a woman who loves to repeat outfits and experiment without compromising on her overall style aesthetic. So there’s a bit of playfulness in styling and sophistication in the final look.

Talking about the new dress designs, Aishwarya Goswami says, “We decided to adapt the birthday ritual of making a wish in sync with our anniversary. The collection is inspired by magic and anticipation with dresses designed to detach, layer and evolve over the course of a celebratory evening. It’s like an invitation to play with the possibility to restyle and make every look a distinct one, without changing a lot. The collection reinstates our primary belief that fashion can be beautiful, relevant and responsible, all at once.”

NAAVA brings India’s rich handloom heritage into contemporary fashion circles. Traditional textiles and artisanal craftsmanship is on display through dresses, tops, co-ords, skirts, and Indo-western pieces. Every piece is breezy, chic and comfortable.

Through its association with the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission (ASRLM), NAAVA works directly with rural women’s Self Help Groups, creating market access and ensuring the artisans behind its fabrics benefit directly from their craft, with no middlemen involved. So for the brand, sustainability forms a layer of the brand.
