Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi visited Eastern Naval Command, Visakhapatnam, between May 10 and 12. During the visit, he reviewed operational, training and administrative activities conducted across the strategically important naval command.
The Naval Chief also spent a day reviewing Eastern Fleet operations in the Bay. During the visit, he observed advanced combat drills involving ships, submarines and maritime aircraft. Admiral Tripathi praised personnel for maintaining professionalism, coordination and exceptional operational preparedness during challenging situations. He interacted with officers, sailors and defence civilians during a fireside discussion at Samudrika Auditorium.
The discussions focused on operational effectiveness, personnel welfare and improving motivation among naval ranks consistently. Addressing personnel, the Chief of the Naval Staff stressed maintaining constant combat readiness amid evolving regional security challenges. He emphasised operational availability and mission effectiveness as the Indian Navy’s highest continuing priorities nationwide. The visit reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment towards safeguarding India’s maritime interests through sustained operational preparedness.
