Mumbai : Cimplr by Cashinvoice, an enterprise unified finance platform, has appointed Sandeep Das, former Head of Banks & Insurance Coverage, Middle East at ANZ, as Managing Director, Middle East & APAC. He will be based in Dubai. The appointment aligns with Cimplr’s efforts to strengthen its presence in international markets, build strategic banking and financial institution partnerships, and expand its technology-led supply chain finance solutions across the Middle East and APAC.
Cimplr has recently established its presence in the UAE and is expanding into the wider GCC, partnering with regional banks and anchor corporates to roll out treasury, investments, risk management, and payment solutions before extending into select APAC markets. The India–UAE corridor is a natural first step: bilateral trade exceeded USD 101 billion in FY2025–26 under the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
Cimplr by Cashinvoice is the technology-led financial services arm of Cashinvoice, created to build on the company’s expertise in supply chain finance and expand its capabilities into a broader enterprise unified finance platform spanning treasury, payments, financing, working capital and risk management.
With over 30 years of experience in corporate, institutional, and investment banking, Sandeep has spent more than two decades in Middle East and GCC financial markets. Before joining Cimplr, he spent over 14 years at ANZ in Dubai, most recently as Head of Banks & Insurance Coverage, Middle East, leading its institutional banking franchise across the region. He also served as Regional Head, Global Financial Institutions at Emirates NBD, where he managed a USD 2 billion asset book and more than 450 correspondent banking relationships, and held leadership roles at Bank Muscat. Earlier, he held roles at ICICI Bank and IDBI Bank in India.
In his new role, Sandeep will work closely with Cimplr’s leadership to drive the company’s expansion across the Middle East and APAC, build strategic relationships with banks, financial institutions and corporates, and develop market-specific solutions to address the evolving working capital and supply chain finance needs of businesses across the region.
“The Middle East and APAC markets are seeing a growing focus on improving working capital efficiency, strengthening trade flows and building more resilient supply chains. In the UAE, around half of all B2B sales are made on credit and close to 60% of those invoices are deferred, which leaves smaller suppliers effectively financing their much larger buyers. Cimplr has demonstrated how technology can bring greater efficiency and accessibility to supply chain finance in India. I look forward to taking this experience to GCC markets, building strong institutional partnerships and developing solutions that address the working capital needs of businesses across the region,” said Sandeep Das, Managing Director, Middle East & APAC, Cimplr.
Sandeep has also advised Financial Institutions & diversified financials and more recently engaged with some private equity and venture funds, and family offices across the GCC and actively looked at balance sheet structuring, fundraising, debt solutions, trade and shipping finance, structured products, and risk and ESG strategy.
Commenting on the announcement, Arun Poojari, Co-founder and CEO of Cimplr, said, “Sandeep brings deep institutional banking experience and a strong understanding of the financial ecosystem across the GCC. His leadership will strengthen our ability to build strategic partnerships and expand our technology-led supply chain finance solutions into new markets.”
