Bhopal : Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has thanked Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnav for approving the doubling of Neemuch Ratlam railway line in the state.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that this approval will bring revolution in the economic progress of the region in the coming times. New doors to development will open. About 32 lakh man-days of employment will be given to the needy. Ideal infrastructure will be developed. Rail travel will become smooth and opportunities for new economic activities will increase in the region.
Special features of the project
Work on about 133 km will be done under the Neemuch doubling project approved by the Indian government at a cost of Rs one thousand 98 crore. The target is to complete the project in the next three years. Doubling on this route will increase the line capacity. With this, additional passenger trains will be able to run in this area. It is such an important region that connects Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. There are large cement and other companies in this rail route, which will be able to utilize the new facilities. Movement of goods will also increase on this route and work will be much easier than before. The Neemuch and Ratlam line is still a single line. This will benefit Chittod and its surrounding cities.
The doubling of Ratlam-Neemuch broad gauge line will be completed in three phases. This project will be completed with new EPS technology. It will be monitored from time to time and any kind of obstruction will be known in advance so that solution can be found soon. With the approval of this doubling, now all the major rail route doubling approval proposals in Ratlam Railway Division have been completed.
