Cybersecurity Begins With the Everyday: Wepsol on Staying Resilient

Wepsol (Wep Solutions Limited), the Bengaluru-headquartered, BSE and NSE listed managed services company, has spent more than 25 years helping Indian enterprises keep their technology running reliably and securely. Growing out of Wipro’s peripherals business, it pioneered Managed Print Services in India and today serves 500+ enterprise customers, managing 100,000+ devices across 2,000+ locations.

Its fluidWorks suite brings together Managed IT Services (fluidPro), Managed Print Services (fluidPrint), IT asset tracking (fluidMap) and workflow and document management (fluidTrail). Customers include PepsiCo India, HDFC Bank and Hyundai, and Wepsol has been recognised multiple times as India’s leading managed print services provider.

Security runs through this work. Wepsol’s Managed IT Services include cybersecurity as a core pillar, supported by 24×7 network and security operations centres (NOC and SOC), endpoint management and patching, while secure, authenticated printing helps banks, hospitals and corporate offices protect sensitive documents. Because Wepsol looks after laptops, networks, printers and other devices together, it sees first-hand how everyday gaps shape an organisation’s risk. That perspective is especially relevant for mid-sized businesses that cannot build large security teams of their own.

As India marks Cybersecurity Awareness Month under the theme ‘Don’t Make It Easy for Them,’ Dr. Gaurav Nigam, Chief Operating Officer, Wepsol, shares his perspective.

Dr. Gaurav Nigam, Chief Operating Officer, Wepsol:

“This year’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month theme, ‘Don’t Make It Easy for Them,’ is a timely reminder that stronger cybersecurity begins with the right everyday practices. CERT-In’s latest advisory reinforces an important opportunity for organizations to strengthen their defenses by addressing familiar vulnerabilities, from credential security, guard-railing their Agentic solutions and configuration management to improved visibility across systems. As we are in the era of Agentic AI, the fundamentals of effective cybersecurity remain a powerful foundation for resilience.

For organizations, building a stronger security posture is about making the most of the tools and practices already in place. Proactive access management, timely patching and comprehensive visibility across connected devices, from laptops and networks to printers and other endpoints, can go a long way in reducing risk. With threats evolving rapidly, continuous monitoring and a proactive approach help organisations stay prepared, responsive and confident.

Cybersecurity Awareness Month offers leadership teams an opportunity to ask a constructive question: where can we strengthen our security practices further? For mid-sized businesses, meaningful progress is well within reach, even without large in-house teams. By making cybersecurity hygiene a consistent priority, organizations can build greater resilience, empower their people and create a stronger foundation for secure, sustainable growth.”
