France Unveils First Esports Nations Cup Jersey on the Champs-Élysées

Paris, France – France became the first country to unveil its official Esports Nations Cup jersey, revealing the kit designed in collaboration with adidas in front of thousands of fans during the Esports Festival by the Esports World Cup on the Champs-Élysées. Team France will wear the jersey at the inaugural Esports Nations Cup in Riyadh this November, where players from more than 100 countries and territories will compete across 16 games under their national colors.

The French jersey was unveiled by National Team Manager Bora “YellOwStaR” Kim alongside ENC Ambassador for France Kamel “Kameto” Kebir and national players during the first official in-person appearance of the French ENC delegation at the Esports Festival by the Esports World Cup. The event transformed the Champs-Élysées into France’s largest free public celebration of gaming and esports.

Across international sport, a national jersey represents identity, belonging and the privilege of representing millions of people. The Esports Nations Cup brings that tradition to esports, creating a new global stage where athletes compete not only for their Clubs, but for their countries. The national jersey makes that representation visible. It gives every national team a shared identity and gives fans a symbol they can wear, support, and stand behind.

“For billions of people around the world, national pride is one of the most powerful connections to sport. The Esports Nations Cup can give them a new way into esports: a team that represents them,” said Ralf Reichert, CEO of the Esports Foundation. “To unveil the first national jersey together with adidas, here in France alongside the Esports World Cup, is an incredible and historic moment. There could be no more fitting place than the Champs-Élysées—one of the most iconic stages in the world—to begin this new chapter.”

A New Symbol for French esports

The French jersey introduces a pattern inspired by the language of gaming. It combines the country’s traditional royal blue with red and white, representing the convergence of France’s sporting history and modern gaming culture.

Rather than displaying the French tricolore prominently, the national colors are subtly woven into the ribbed detailing. These understated elements reward a closer look while preserving a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The iconic French Rooster is proudly displayed over the heart. Long associated with French excellence on the international sporting stage, it now becomes a defining symbol of France’s national esports identity.

ENC and adidas Create a Global Jersey System for Esports

As Official Kit Partner and Global Partner of the Esports Nations Cup, adidas will create custom jerseys and tracksuits for more than 100 participating countries and territories across 16 games.

The partnership reimagines traditional national-team apparel through the visual language of competitive gaming. Each jersey incorporates gaming-inspired graphics, custom typography referencing classic arcade high-score screens, and a bespoke sleeve emblem shaped after the ENC medals and carrying the nation’s flag colors.

As the Esports Nations Cup develops, these jerseys are intended to become lasting symbols for national esports communities and part of the history created by the players who compete in them.

Esports Arrives at the World’s Most Beautiful Avenue

Hosted by Doigby and Kayané, the Esports Festival by the Esports World Cup brought together leading creators, musicians, professional players and esports pioneers, including Bigflo & Oli, Amine, Samuel Étienne, Billy, Neo and Brawks.

The festival transformed the Champs-Élysées into France’s largest free public celebration of gaming and esports, featuring an afternoon of live competition across EA SPORTS FC 26, Rocket League and Trackmania.

The French jersey reveal was the culmination of the festival and marked the first public unveiling of an official Esports Nations Cup national kit.

As Paris hosts the first edition of the Esports World Cup outside Saudi Arabia, the unveiling represents both France’s contribution to competitive gaming and its role in shaping the future of international esports.

France has built one of Europe’s most mature esports ecosystems. According to the France Esports Barometer, approximately six million people in the country actively participate in esports, while more than 10 million regularly watch competitions.

More than 1.5 million people participate in amateur and semi-professional tournaments. Over the past decade, France has also established itself as a leading destination for international events across League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, Fortnite and Street Fighter 6.
