From milk delivery to dairy protein: Doodhvale Farms named Emerging D2C Dairy Protein Brand at The India Collective

New Delhi : A few years ago, Doodhvale Farms was known as the brand that delivered fresh milk to your door every morning. Today, it has been recognised as the Emerging D2C Dairy Protein Brand at The India Collective, Hindustan Times’ celebration of the brands, businesses and institutions shaping India. The award was presented on October 23, 2026, at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Karkardooma, New Delhi, with actor Esha Deol as Chief Guest. It was received by Aman J Jain, Co-Founder and CEO, and Ishu Jain, Co-Founder and COO, on behalf of Doodhvale Farms. It is the company’s first recognition as a dairy protein brand.

Aman J Jain, Co-Founder and CEO, Doodhvale Farms, said: “It means the direction we chose is being noticed. A year ago, most people saw us as a milk delivery brand. Today we are being recognised as a dairy protein brand, which is exactly where we are taking Doodhvale. We see this award less as a trophy and more as an outside check on our thesis: that India’s protein gap is best closed through real, everyday dairy, made from milk you can trace back to the farm.”

“Protein claims are only as good as the milk behind them. We know which farm every litre comes from, and that is what lets us stand behind every pack,” said Ishu Jain, Co-Founder and COO, Doodhvale Farms.

The India Collective recognises the brands, businesses, institutions and individuals shaping India, across categories from food and dining to healthcare, retail, and business and technology, and is designed as an annual benchmark for excellence and impact. In a category as new as dairy protein, Doodhvale Farms believes what stood out was depth rather than a single product: a full protein range built on milk the company controls from the farm to the doorstep, and a customer base that orders it every morning.

That range is Doodhvale Farms Pro+, which the company built after first fixing the milk itself. The company began in 2019 because its founding families could not find milk they trusted. Once it controlled the supply chain, it moved into high-protein paneer, dahi and milk, and then into whey-based Farm Protein in Family and Advanced variants. The paneer carries 25 g of protein per 100 g, and the dahi 20 to 22 g per pack. The thinking is simple: in a largely vegetarian country, dairy is the most natural source of protein, and the opportunity lies in the family kitchen rather than in gym supplements. Where many protein brands begin with a powder, Doodhvale Farms began with a farm.

The recognition rests on a supply chain the company runs end to end. Milk comes from captive farms that follow the company’s own standards, with buffalo, A2 cow and regular cow herds kept on separate farms so that every pack can be traced to its source. It is processed at Doodhvale Farms’ own unit in Sonipat, Haryana, and moved through its own cold chain, reaching homes in under 36 hours of milking. Milk is tested at the farm, on arrival, after pasteurisation and in finished packs, with advanced checks at NABL-accredited labs.

The business numbers stand out in a category known for heavy cash burn. Doodhvale Farms has delivered over 1 million orders and has grown 50%+ a year for three consecutive years. It has reached a revenue run-rate of about Rs 100 Cr on under Rs 20 Cr of capital used. More than 80% of sales come through its own app and website, which lets the company add Pro+ products to a family’s regular milk order. Fresh dairy is delivered daily across cities across North India, and shelf-stable products are available across India.

The award adds to earlier recognition for the brand. Doodhvale Farms has been named among India’s fastest-growing D2C brands by Inc42 [AJ: confirm exact Inc42 list names and years] twice in two years and has been recognised as a Most Loved D2C Dairy and Daily Essentials brand.

Looking ahead, the company is targeting Rs 250 Cr in gross sales in under three years. The plan includes a wider Pro+ range, from everyday paneer, dahi and milk to more advanced protein products, along with more partner farms built to its standards and more channels, including quick commerce and marketplaces.
