Professor Rana’s journey is nothing short of inspirational. Born in the rural village of Shubhai Garh in Hajipur, Bihar, and raised in a farming family, he rose from modest beginnings to become one of the world’s leading scholars. His education in government schools laid the foundation for a career that has spanned continents, from teaching at Sikkim Manipal University and working in the software industry in Bangalore to completing his MBA and PhD at Swansea University in the UK. Within just five years, he advanced from Lecturer to Professor, a testament to his determination and world-class research contributions.
Over the years, Professor Rana has held prestigious leadership roles at institutions such as the University of Bradford and Qatar University and currently serves as Professor of Digital Marketing and Systems at Queen’s Business School, Queen’s University Belfast, where he heads the Department of International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Marketing. His prolific research record includes over 400 publications in leading journals, five co-edited books, and editorial roles in top-tier academic outlets. Recognized as a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher for three consecutive years, with over 76,000 citations and an H-index of 117, his global impact is undeniable.
