GURUGRAM ALL SET TO BECOME MOTORSPORTING HUB OF THE NORTH INDIA

New Delhi : Gurugram which is currently the happening place for Go-carting sport in the National Capital Region (NCR) having maximum tracks and young and old coming to play this motor sport in the city is all set to become a Motor sporting hub in entire North India.

Presently almost all motor sporting events are held in South India and they have the motoring events infrastructure. Post F1 held in Budh International Circuit in Greater Noida , motor sports is a forgotten chapter in North India. Some motor sport lovers from the North have been taking part in this field at individual level.

“To popularise this speed and adventure based sport in the North India, some motor speed loving enthusiasts have started a forum titled Strada Motorsports and trained and developed a motoring team consisting of Gururam lad Justin Singh who is also Co-Founder Strada Motorsports & 2 times National champion(circuit racing); Aman Nagdev a Delhiite and Anirudh Arvind from Chennai to popularize motoring and take part in Federation of Motor Sporting Clubs of India (FMSCI) events. Last year they had won the FMSCI racing championship and this year they will be defending it “ said Mr Gurpreet Singh, founder of Strada Motorsports and himself a motor sport lover.

“Currently most motorsport lovers are funding themselves individually as there is no forum to sponsor or promote them. There is a limit parents of an individual can spend. This Strada Motorsports has been developed to provide support to these motor sport young lovers as well as promote this sport in North India.

As Gurugram has a maximum number of go karting tracks and this sport lovers, we plan to make Gurugram a hub of motorsports” said Mr Singh.

“Apart from promoting this young team of Justin Singh, Aman Nagdev , Anirudh Arvind we plan to organizing various motoring events in Gurugram including Bring Your Own Car (BYOC) on line of Bring Your Own Booze (BYOB) concept where motor sport lovers can unite and enjoy motorsports on various tracks. On August 15, Independence day we plan to hold a car rally , a drag race on Fast and Furious lines and SUV race in coming months:” Mr Singh added.

To introduce young drivers Strada sports organized a small event at Taj City Centre where who is who of motoring sport were present along with many corporate professionals from the industry & socialites including Sterre Sharma, wife of former minister Satish Sharma, Gaurav Gill- Professional rally drive and Arjuna Awardee; Garima Avtar, Ritika Jatin Ahuja, Amarjeet Singh Chawla, Suchana Bera and Vibha Sarin Prabhakar.
