Kolkata : The Heritage Group of Institutions celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour at the Heritage campus. The celebrations brought together students, faculty and staff members from across the institutions of the Heritage Group.
The ceremony was graced by IPS Mr. Sudhir Mishra (Retd.) as the Chief Guest. Mr. Vikram Swarup, Vice Chairman, Heritage Group of Institutions, and Mr. Pradip Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, were also present on the occasion. Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal, The Heritage School and Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology, along with senior officials, faculty members, staff and students, participated in the celebrations.
The National Flag was unfurled at The Heritage School and Heritage Institute of Technology, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. The ceremony evoked a strong sense of patriotism and pride among the gathering, commemorating India’s journey as a sovereign nation and honouring the sacrifices of the freedom fighters.
The celebrations featured a vibrant cultural programme presented by the students of The Heritage School and Heritage Institute of Technology. Through patriotic songs, dances and other cultural performances, the students paid tribute to the nation and celebrated India’s rich cultural heritage, unity and diversity.
The occasion also provided an opportunity for the students to reflect on the values of freedom, responsibility, integrity and nation-building. The participation of students, faculty and staff from both the school and college made the celebration a meaningful expression of the Heritage Group’s commitment to holistic education and nurturing responsible citizens for the future.
The 80th Independence Day celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism and a collective resolve to contribute towards building a stronger, inclusive and progressive India.
