Speaking about the quarter, Venkatesh Korla, Global CEO of HGS, said, “We began FY2027 with a focus on execution, capability building, and strengthening the foundation for the next phase of business growth. Q1 saw encouraging momentum – with multiple AI-embedded engagements, strategic market expansion through our new MENA subsidiary, and the continued evolution of our Intelligent Experience proposition. While our financial performance reflected the planned phase-out of a large client engagement and related one-time costs, we continued to make steady progress in expanding our client portfolio and building a diversified pipeline that we expect to support our growth trajectory in the second half of the year.

As enterprises navigate an increasingly complex operating environment, they are seeking practical solutions that improve business performance, enhance customer engagement, and deliver measurable outcomes. Our ability to bring together technology, data, and operational expertise positions us well to support these priorities. While we continue to remain mindful of global economic uncertainties, our strong client relationships, diversified portfolio, and disciplined approach give us confidence as we move through the year.”

Commenting on the Digital Media division’s performance, Vynsley Fernandes, Whole-time Director of HGS and CEO, Digital Media Business said, “It’s been a busy quarter for the digital media business – from building robust and scalable backend systems to facilitate the roll-out of Project GANGA to expanding pan-India infrastructure to support the growing CelerityX enterprise business. With over 2,000 applications already received on the Project GANGA portals, the focus since the launch in early June’26, under the guidance of the State Transformation Commission of the Government of Uttar Pradesh has been on comprehensive training and network design for the entrepreneurs to support their transition into Digital Service Providers. A dedicated Project GANGA ecosystem is operational to support the DSPs right up to establishing their independent networks and marketing their services across the state.

CelerityX, defined as another forward growth engine of the media group, has earned the trust of leading corporates for their enterprise connectivity requirements – not only adding new prestigious logos in Q1 but bagging repeat contracts from existing customers. The business is already expanding its portfolio of services through strategic alliances with global partners.

Being conferred with the “Best Future Ready Network of the Year – 2025-26” at the recent BCS Ratna Awards reflects and validates the media group’s approach in continuously innovating in technology and leveraging its vast partner-driven networks for the future.”
