Holiday Inn Gurugram Sector 90 proudly presents Jashn-e-Awadh Food Festival, a grand celebration of the rich culture and timeless culinary heritage of Awadh. The festival will be held from 8th to 17th May from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM at Viva All Day Dining restaurant, which will be beautifully decked in an Awadhi theme to enhance the ambience and create an immersive dining experience. The festival promises a rich gastronomic journey showcasing authentic recipes, traditional cooking styles and the warmth of Awadh hospitality.
Curated by Executive Chef Prakash Yadav in collaboration with Chef Mohammad Ramzan Qureshi from Crowne Plaza Lucknow, the food festival brings together authentic Awadhi flavours and time-honoured recipes that have been cherished and passed down through generations.
Guests are invited to embark on a sensory journey where every course unfolds like a cherished memory from the region’s vibrant streets and royal kitchens. The experience begins with a sip of Sharbat-e-Mohabbat – delicately sweet and fragrant with dried rose petals offering a refreshing welcome steeped in old-world charm. This is followed by the timeless ritual of Hazratganj Ki Chai paired with warm Bun Makkhan.
As the feast unfolds, rich aromas and slow-cooked flavours take centre stage. The rich Dal Sultani, indulgent Kofta-e-Shaan, fragrant Awadhi Korma and the iconic Nalli Nihari showcase the refinement of Awadhi culinary traditions while the celebrated Lucknow Dum Biryani arrives layered with delicate spices and nostalgic warmth.
The journey concludes on a sweet note with traditional desserts such as Shaahi Tukda, Jalebi Dahi, Imarti and Rabri – each bite leaving behind the warmth, richness and timeless elegance of region’s culinary heritage.
