India and UAE today held a meeting to advance the progress of defence cooperation under the Strategic Defence Partnership Framework in New Delhi. In a social media post, the Ministry of Defence informed that the meeting was co-chaired by Joint Secretary of International Cooperation Amitabh Prasad and UAE Brigadier Staff Jamal Ebrahim Mohamed Ebrahim Almar-Zooqi. It added that the discussion focused on expanding defence industry collaboration, fostering innovation, leveraging niche technologies and enhancing maritime security.
