India Races to the Top, Becomes India’s No.1 Feature Phone Brand Portfolio

HMD India today announced a landmark milestone in India’s feature phone market, with its Nokia branded feature phones and HMD feature phones together emerging as the highest-ever recorded share for the brand portfolio in India.

According to IDC Q1 2026 data, the combined HMD & Nokia feature phone portfolio recorded an industry-leading 47.2% market share by value and 32.7% market share by volume. In a defining moment for the company’s independent growth journey, HMD branded feature phones achieved a remarkable standalone performance within just 18 months of brand launch in India, clocking 16.8% value share and 13.5% volume share in the feature phone segment a milestone that reflects the brand’s rapidly accelerating consumer acceptance and market momentum.
