New Delhi  – RunnTV, India’s fastest growing Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) platform, today announced the launch of Openview Stream, Africa’s first independent FAST streaming platform, marking the company’s strategic expansion into one of the world’s fastest-growing digital television markets.

As an extension of the eMedia Investments portfolio, Openview Stream represents the group’s strategic expansion into the Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television (FAST) market. Developed in strategic partnership with RunnTV, eMedia Investments’ technology and FAST platform partner, the platform combines eMedia’s premium content, trusted entertainment brands and deep understanding of African audiences with RunnTV’s proven streaming technology and platform expertise. Africa is rapidly emerging as one of the world’s most promising markets for free streaming. Rising digital and smart TV adoption, improving broadband connectivity and increasing digital video consumption are driving a fundamental shift in how audiences discover and consume television content. Openview Stream aims to accelerate this transition by creating a sustainable ecosystem that benefits viewers, broadcasters, advertisers and content owners alike.

A key pillar of the platform is its commitment to empowering regional broadcasters and content owners. The platform allows broadcasters to extend their reach beyond traditional television through mobile and Connected TVs while unlocking meaningful new advertising revenue opportunities through a long-term partnership model.

Openview Stream is designed to bring viewers a curated mix of regional and international channels through an accessible, ad-funded streaming experience. The platform’s channel strategy is focused on local resonance, strong entertainment value and a polished viewing experience, while remaining free for consumers.
