The Institute of Bakery & Culinary Arts (IBCA), New Delhi, successfully organised the third edition of its flagship dessert competition, “Master Dessert Artist, Season 3 (2026)”, bringing together talented college students pursuing bakery and pastry arts. The event celebrated creativity, innovation, technical expertise, and presentation skills in the world of desserts and pastry arts.
Tisha emerged as the winner and received a cash prize of Rs. 11,000 along with gifts from Nestlé, Lots, Fab, KitchenAid, Chocochill, Magic Colours, and Cornitos. Madiha Rashid secured the First Runner-Up position and received Rs. 5,100 along with partner gifts, while Vanshika won the Second Runner-Up title and received Rs. 2,100 along with gifts from the event partners.
In addition to the main awards, special medallion recognitions were presented to participants for excellence in various categories. The awardees received certificates along with gifts from Lots, Fab, KitchenAid, and Cornitos. Sandeep Kaur was honoured for Excellence in Taste, while Ashmeet Kaur received the Hygiene Award. Tiya Luthra was recognised for Correct Preparation, Vandana Kohli received the award for Skill Technique, and Laxmi Tandon was honoured for Excellence in Presentation.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Chef Balendra Singh, Director, IBCA, said “the competition aims to provide young culinary talent with a professional platform to showcase their creativity, technical skills, and passion for the bakery and dessert industry. The institute added that initiatives like “Master Dessert Artist” help bridge the gap between culinary education and industry expectations while encouraging innovation among aspiring chefs.”
The competition was judged by an esteemed jury panel comprising Chef Sireesh Saxena, Chef Jai Kumar Bhasin, Chef Gaurav Mishra, Chef Seema Bhatia, Chef Amit Kumar, and Chef Nauman Qureshi, who evaluated participants on creativity, taste, presentation, hygiene, and technical skills.
The event was powered by Nestlé Milkmaid and supported by industry partners including Lots Wholesale Solutions, Magic Colours, Sugar Shine India, Fab, Apyura, KitchenAid, Cornitos, Chocochill, Techmate, and Boxello, with Bakery Review as the media partner. Their support contributed significantly to the success of the event and the encouragement of emerging culinary talent.
