Pune : Intangles, a global predictive fleet intelligence company, today announced its AIS-140-certified product portfolio in India, available in four configurations: InCert, InSight, InGenious, and InVision+. The portfolio supports vehicles ranging from cabs and three-wheelers to small commercial vehicles, vans, light and intermediate commercial vehicles, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, and buses, with compatibility varying by configuration. Operators can choose a configuration based on their needs, regardless of fleet size, making predictive capabilities accessible to businesses with a few vehicles as well as larger fleets.
AIS-140 sets out the Government of India’s requirements for vehicle tracking and emergency alerts. It does not require engine data, leaving fault codes, coolant temperature, and fuel analytics outside its scope. A device installed solely to meet these requirements shows where a vehicle is but offers limited insight into its condition. While this helps fleet owners meet compliance requirements, it does little to address everyday challenges such as optimising costs, improving productivity, and making operations safer.
In India’s highly competitive logistics sector, identifying developing problems before dispatch gives operators time to arrange repairs and avoid disruptions to consignments or passenger services. Fuel losses can accumulate unnoticed over a month of trips, while risky driving habits may go undetected until a serious accident occurs. AIS-140 solutions focused solely on compliance cannot address these challenges.
Drawing on years of working with fleet operators, Intangles has developed an AIS-140-compliant product range that brings predictive intelligence to everyday operations. Its platform combines physics-based analytics with machine learning to interpret vehicle signals in the context of operating conditions, alerting operators to developing faults and giving them time to act. Intangles’ predictive intelligence delivers 96% predictive AI accuracy and has helped fleets reduce powertrain breakdowns by 75%.
Anup Patil, CEO of Intangles, said, “The size of a fleet should not determine whether an operator can access predictive intelligence. A vehicle off the road can significantly affect a business, whether it owns five vehicles
or five hundred. With a certified device already installed and connected whenever the vehicle runs, operators should be able to choose the value it delivers to their business. Intangles’ new range brings this promise to life through #ChoiceOkPlease, giving operators the flexibility and freedom to choose a solution that meets compliance requirements and addresses their everyday operational challenges.”
The four configurations allow operators to choose the capabilities they need beyond compliance. InCert provides AIS-140-certified tracking, trip management, geofencing, and driver alerts. InSight adds driver behaviour reports, fuel consumption insights, and fault codes with repair guidance. InGenious offers predictive vehicle health monitoring, advanced fuel management, DriveIQ driver scorecards, and operations automation. InVision+ pairs the certified device with AI-powered video telematics through two cameras—one facing the road and the other facing the driver—along with in-cabin voice alerts, road warnings, and video on demand. All four run on InRoute, Intangles’ fleet intelligence platform.
Intangles’ field sales channels and newly launched direct-to-consumer e-commerce platform, InCentral, now offer the AIS-140 portfolio in India. Launched alongside the portfolio, InCentral enables customers to find the right solution, check vehicle compatibility, purchase online, and generate VLTD certificates, bringing the entire journey together in one place.
